With the new Predator 2nd generation Z shafts, it's even easier to pocket balls using English. The new design is re-engineered to provide increased reduction in cueball deflection. The new Z shaft has a slightly shorter ferrule than the new 314 shaft for enhanced performance. Joint inserts are mounted in a phenolic core for better surface contact and stability. The tip has also been improved to reduce mushrooming and increase the life of the tip. The result of these enhancements is overall improvement in playability over the 1st generation Predator shafts.

WHAT FITS MY GAME?
More accurate than conventional pool cues, Z2 tops the list when it comes to nailing your shot. For those who prefer a more traditional shape but don’t want to sacrifice accuracy, 3142 offers the perfect solution.
SPIN & CUE BALL CONTROL PREFERENCE
Both 3142 and Z2 provide greater control and reduce deflection, meaning more possibilities for placement around the table. The Z2 is like a supercharged shaft and requires a more consistent tip placement, while the 3142 is more forgiving.
Predator’s 3142 has the feel of a traditional taper, also known as a Pro taper, which feels consistent and comfortable when held in your hand. Z2 boasts a stronger taper that you will feel getting progressively bigger along its length. Picking the right shaft for you is all about which option you’re most comfortable with.
Even the most advanced player has to account for cue ball deflection. Predator’s cutting-edge shaft technology reduces the error factor, making it easier to pocket balls using english. The more accurate shots you get with 3142 and Z2 are a result of Predator’s significantly lighter and more flexible shafts. Rather than the shaft pushing the ball out of line, the cue ball actually pushes the shaft aside – exactly what you’ll do to your opponents.
Unequaled by any one-piece shaft, Predator’s unique 10-piece splicing construction eliminates grain directionality and is part of the reason why players who use 3142 and Z2 experience more consistency in their shots. Those are results you can count on.
Predator produces more spin that any conventional cue, which makes it easier to draw, follow and move your cue ball around the table. Check the right column to see which shaft best fits your style of play.
Nobody likes buzz, that negative feedback you get when you hit with a sub-par cue. The technology in 3142 and Z2 eliminates that vibration, so you get pure, positive feedback on every shot and can play with the confidence that comes from a sturdy, solid feel. Bad vibes are a thing of the past.
